Job Description:
This full-time position is responsible for detailed, thorough cleaning and restoration of residences and businesses including structure and personal belongings and will work under the supervision of a Team Lead or Job Supervisor and Project Manager.
We want to be very honest, this isn't a good job for someone that requires a set work schedule or for someone who needs a flexible work schedule. We are an emergency service company, like the fire department or an ambulance service
Job duties you may experience include, but are not limited to, structural tear-out and cleaning, carpet and upholstery cleaning, cleaning smoke damaged homes and businesses, drying and tear-out in flooded basements, trauma clean-up, doing mold remediation in a basement or attic, deep cleaning personal contents after fires and floods to a detail level of cleanliness that makes them look brand new! And cleaning contents can be anything from kitchen appliances, pots, pans and dishes, knick-knacks or pianos, lawnmowers or skis. We make sure any belongings a client owns are like new when we are done. We clean up after any type of disaster including; fire or water, mold remediation, graffiti, hoarding, many different types of biohazards, vandalism, trauma clean up, sewage backups, meth cleanups, basically any of the hard jobs people need help with. Our goal is to get them back into a sparkling clean home as quickly as possible. And you are the rock star that makes that happen!
This position will cross-train on the job for duties and best practices associated with the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC) certification programs. You must have the ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures, as well as basic math and computer skills to document jobs.
Most importantly this position requires a friendly, caring, mature person who enjoys cleaning and wants to help people when they are in the midst of a disaster that they can't take care of themselves. We want to give our customers a thorough, detailed cleaning experience, to help them get back to normal.
Water & Fire Cleaning Technician Job Requirements:
- Be an excellent detail cleaner with an genuine eye for what makes something clean!
- Be able to safely use and figure out how best to use many types of specialty cleaning products and tools
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. often and maneuver up to 150 lb. furniture items using team lift techniques
- Operate and follow maintenance schedules for all equipment
- Accurately document all daily job activity
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Follow quality and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Know how to load the trucks every morning from a load list with all you need for your daily jobs
- Unload the trucks every night, clean supply items and put them away where you got them
- Put out of stock or running low supplies on an order board before you run out
- Be flexible for all shifts due to our 24/7/365 emergency services, including out-of-town, overnight stays occasionally. While most daily shifts are M - F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm customers may want an earlier or later arrival time and emergencies can happen at any time. So we have to be prepared to help at any time our customers need us.
- Be able to pass a background check, drug test, OSHA respiratory test, be able to wear a full face respirator, have all required updated immunizations to work in contaminated environments
- Have a clean driving record and valid Class D drivers license to drive company vehicles
- Be friendly, polite, easy to get along with, trainable, on-time, hardworking, intelligent, emotionally mature, and kindly
Education: Minimum requirements: High school diploma/GED
Experience: Minimum 12 months in this field or related
Preferred Experience: Prior Disaster Restoration cleaning, Minor Construction Demo, Detail House or Hotel Cleaning Experience, Customer Service, Computer Entry, Respirator Fit Tested, Any combination of Building/Equipment/Auto Maintenance to help maintain equipment, change oil and batteries on vehicles, or do minor repairs in homes

Paid IICRC training is available after the 90 Days Probationary Period, based on your aptitude and company needs. The company will also pay your yearly IICRC certification renewal fees for as long as you remain employed and in good standing with our company.
We furnish all OSHA-required Personal Protective Safety Equipment.
If you bring in a new disaster restoration job you will earn a job commission of 2% on Net profit after the job is complete and paid.
$300.00 new hire referral bonus for bringing in a new employee who successfully makes it through the 90 Day probationary period, becomes a full-time regular employee and remains with the company for 6 months.
