Job Description:
Loyola Blakefield is looking for a Jr Systems Administrator who will assist the Sr. Systems Administrator in managing, maintaining, and supporting Loyola Blakefield’s IT infrastructure and daily operations. This person needs to be a self-teaching and fast-learning individual who is a team player and helps others. This position may also have the opportunity to teach academic classes in the Informatics division in addition to assisting with Loyola’s Cybersecurity Initiative after school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration of Microsoft O365, OneDrive, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Azure Entra ID, MFA, and other cloud services in a hybrid environment.
- Responsible for backups and restores using Veeam Enterprise in a virtual environment.
- Create and modify PowerShell scripts used to automate workflows.
- Assist helpdesk and desktop team in imaging, deploying, and updating Microsoft Surface devices using endpoint configuration tools such as SCCM/MECM, Intune, and PDQ.
- Assist in maintaining a VMWare virtual environment composed of ESXi host servers, NetApp SAN storage, and VM servers.
- Some knowledge of network services such as TCP/IP, DHCP, Certificate management.
- Assist in audio, video, and other technology setups for events scheduled on campus.
- Escalation point for Tier 1 support and all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge and experience with MS Teams relating to classroom management.
- Programming background and experience with PowerShell scripting and Python.
- System related certifications preferred.
