Description
The Lead Systems Analyst serves as the lead over the Loyola Medicine Financial Systems and Data Integrity support function. Supports systems data analyst staff with work prioritization, issue escalation, hiring/on-boarding of new employees, performance evaluations and corrective action and counseling as required. Leads and participates in project teams associated with the further development and/or implementation of electronic health records and/or other IT applications. Designs, develops, implements, modifies, automates and maintains IT applications. Recommends and implements solutions to enhance the functionality of applications and business intelligence reporting, including but not limited to Revenue Cycle and Clinical statistical reporting. Provides support in the analysis and validation of business and financial data reported across the Loyola University Health System organization. Monitors and reconciles extracts from source systems along with loading and posting of that data into the Decision Support System (DSS). Reports on key performance metrics across the business. Serves as the cost accounting lead providing counsel and support to business units and department operations and makes recommendations to senior finance leadership on both strategic and tactical issues. Delivers analytical and programming expertise using SQL server in support for decision support including product/patient and service line costing, productivity reporting and analysis, statistical reporting analysis and ad hoc reporting as required.

Position Responsibilities
- Mentorship of Decision Support Systems Analyst staff, including work prioritization, issue escalation and hiring/on-boarding of new employees.
- Prepares and distributes all routine iterations of statistical Clinical information and Revenue Cycle reporting to internal customers and parent customers at Trinity Health. Writes reports pulling statistical information required by various and appropriate enforcement and oversight entities with authority over or working in concert with Loyola Medicine and Trinity Health.
- Maintains the structures in the DSS and adjusts extracts from feeder systems. Performs monitors and maintains loading processes (ETL) for source system extracts into Decision Support System (DSS) in conjunction with IT staff. Responsible for audit and reconciliation of all data load, posted, and processed into DSS. Coordinate project implementation between Information Technologies, end user departments and vendors where appropriate by serving as project manager or team member. Communicate progress to appropriate levels of client and IT management.
- Concuity. Maintains the Concuity Payment Integrity Compass processing specifications; responsible for monitoring and maintaining the auto reconciliation process and notes; adjusts extracts from feeder systems. Configure the applications and related systems based on the objectives set by leadership, physician needs, patient safety and end user requirements. Analyze client needs for changes to existing applications or changes needed to support new services. Develop and maintain test plans. Test and/or coordinate the testing of the application in preparation for new build, upgrades, updates or interface changes. Develop project plans, task lists, and resource estimates for projects. Develop or assist in the development of work plans, task sequencing and resource estimates, and user plans. Adhere to IT standards and promote continuous quality improvement. Participate in and encourage team building activities and staff development. Maintain professional skill level by keeping up to date with relevant certifications, emerging technologies and pertinent healthcare regulations. Provide technical support to clients and other project team members on an as needed basis.
