Description
The Regional Director of Accreditation & Infection Prevention for IL & IN provides leadership for quality, regulatory readiness and accreditation/certification programs for the Illinois/Indiana region of Trinity Health. The Director is responsible for leading regional efforts to deliver world-class health care that is safety, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient centered. The Regional Director is responsible for developing and implementing the quality plan for the region and identifying ongoing opportunities for improvement based on quality outcomes, trends in safety/risk events, publicly reported data, regional and Trinity Health priority strategic aims.
In collaboration with the Chief Clinical Officer and the Chief Nursing Officer, officer, senior management and clinical leadership the Director will lead the development of short and long-term strategic and tactical plans, setting of priorities, allocation of resources, and development of relevant policies and procedures.
Quality Improvement
What you will do:
Leads the development, implementation, assessment & continuous improvement and quality improvement program. Develops & implements strategic plans to maximize & document improvements in the quality, safety, & value of patient care services.
Regulatory Leadership
Responsible for planning and implementing strategies for evaluation of
regulatory compliance in a uniform and consistent manner across region.
Collaborates with System Office resources as well as regional level and
RHM level resources to provide an annual accreditation plan.
Quality Measurement
Oversees the collection, analysis, and reporting of data that leads to an information rich environment. This will support continuous measurement and improvement of clinical quality and patient safety. Implements systems to ensure ready access, understanding, education and use of data required to support a continuous learning and improvement environment.
Organizing Resources
Arranges systems, functions and resources within span of control to maximize quality of care, patient experience, and efficient operations.,. Recruits, interviews and selects staff in collaboration with Human Resources and ensures that staffing guidelines/standards are maintained.
Planning
Guides the development of the quality plan and oversees the implementation of the plan. With the department chairs and executive leadership, identifies and develops strategic and tactical plans for specific areas of responsibility and the overall organization.
Financial Management
Develops budgets to ensure appropriate allocation of resources to support operation of hospital programs and meet organizational goals. Responsible for budget management and oversight to achieve fiscal goals. Participates in decision-making for the departmental budget.
Team Building
Fosters positive team collaboration and staff development across Loyola Medicine to facilitate effective and efficient operations, employee engagement and achievement of quality, safety and customer service excellence goals. Oversees human resource functions including recruitment, training, mentoring and continuous performance management to maintain the highest quality workforce.
Communication
Provides communication to administration, faculty, management and staff to establish understanding of the organization mission and strategic goals necessary to achieve organizational goals. Meets regularly with medical directors, department chairs and direct reports to facilitate communication, goal setting and decision making.
Professional Development
Actively engages in professional development to maintain current skills and knowledge of environment trends, clinical developments and business opportunities.
