Duties and Responsibilities
This full-time position plays a key role in the successful operation of Loyola University Retreat and Ecology Campus (LUREC). Located in Woodstock, IL and situated on 98 acres of land, LUREC, which is a 200-bed facility, hosts Loyola University student, staff and faculty retreats as well as events and retreats for outside organizations. The Event Specialist will be responsible for the following :
- Answer incoming phone calls and assisting callers with their inquires.
- Respond to online inquiries and RFPs.
- Schedule and conduct site visits of LUREC.
- Create and send contracts to prospective clients.
- Create and send out Housing Lists and Retreat Worksheets to clients.
- Check-in and check-out guests at the Front Desk.
- Assist guests with questions and resolve guest issues.
- Communicate information to all departments within LUREC.
- Send out invoices to clients.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Minimum Education and / or Work Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. One to two years of event planning or related experience.
