Job Summary:
As a CT Technologist, you will perform computerized tomography procedures at MacNeal Hospital, providing high-quality diagnostic information to physicians. You will work rotating shifts, including weekends, and participate in research projects and new procedure protocols.About the Job:
This role requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for computerized tomographic diagnosis.
- You will explain procedures to patients and answer questions prior to exams.
- You will troubleshoot equipment and arrange repairs when necessary.
- You will assist in developing new procedure protocols and act as the CT technical expert for the department.
Requirements:
- An Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent training acquired via work experience or education.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA).
