Job Summary
Loyola Medicine seeks a Radiology Technologist I to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with LUHS guidelines. This role is part-time, working 20 hours per week on a midnight shift with rotating weekends among the team.
Responsibilities
The Radiographer I will perform diagnostic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring supervision of technical detail. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing radiographic procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines to provide high-quality diagnostic images for physicians.
- Providing assistance to the Radiologist during procedures to expedite patient care and quality of life.
- Assessing patient plans, providing intervention, and evaluating care based on age to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Preparing equipment and supplies necessary for radiographic procedures and performing daily tasks to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA).
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Registered Radiographic Technologist licensure.
