Duties and Responsibilities
- Modifies and maintains comprehensive admissions record files within AMP, using as guidelines, complex rules, policies, and regulations of the admissions department.
- Responds to inquiries and resolves problems related to the admissions system, which may require the interpretation, explanation, and justification of departmental policies and procedures.
- Reviews processing procedures involving Primary and Secondary applications, forms and / or correspondence while making suggestions for any needed changes; creates new forms or correspondence as needed.
- Assists with research requested by EAC, faculty, staff and students, utilizing statistical enrollment data.
- Assembles and disseminates admissions process and payment reports to stakeholders; works with the dean of admissions to design and maintain reports.
- Assists in procurement, requisition, and payments for vendors and paid reviewers.
- Assists with the transcript review process.
- Reviews admission files for completeness so that admission decisions can be made.
- Previews completed files and make and enter admission decisions.
- Transmits actions to AMCAS and assists in reporting details to AMCAS.
- Counsels and recruits prospective students (Both over the phone, email correspondence, and Walk-in)
- Consults and informs prospective students of their admission status.
- Supports office in all matters of daily operations.
Minimum Education and / or Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and three years of experience in roles related to educational technology or systems administration; equivalent admissions experience may be considered.
