Duties and Responsibilities
The Research Assistant III - Knight Lab Position supports :
- Research projects by performing straightforward Lab assays and analysis.
- Carry out experiments as instructed by Principal Investigator (PI).
- Assists PI, Research Staff, and Students with various Lab procedures and projects. Performance of experiments requires familiarity with basic methods in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Molecular Biology.
- Generates reports on experimental data obtained.
- Organizes, curates, and updates data bases of the acquired information and the corresponding analyses.
- Maintains orderly records.
- Maintains a safe and orderly working environment.
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and / or Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and one to two years of related experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences or related fields. Prior Lab experience.
