Job Purpose
To perform preventative maintenance to efficiently operate equipment that processes raw materials.
In This Position You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Maintain Debarker, Waferizer, Green screeners and associated belt conveyors to process the specified wood supply
- Complete knife changes on machines
- Complete maintenance tasks on equipment to maintain operations
- Maintain organization with green end tools and equipment
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Assist in maintain equipment
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance functions.
- Knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools.
- Time management and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and written repair manuals.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of technical training in general maintenance.
- 1 – 2 years’ general maintenance experience preferred.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
