To schedule and perform preventative and predictive maintenance. To serve as lead mechanic, assigning daily work to maintenance team.
In This Position You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Schedule and perform complex preventative and predictive maintenance functions and equipment repairs.
- Perform general fabrication and machinist work and troubleshoot problems, as necessary.
- Develop and train area maintenance personnel.
- Serve as lead mechanic and assign daily work to maintenance team.
- Learn, teach, and develop predictive maintenance tools and applications.
- Assist with development of weekly work plans and oversee execution of weekly work plans including documentation.
- Fill in for Maintenance Supervisor as needed.
- Development or revision of area PMs and/or predictive maintenance tasks.
- Proficient in EAM using the program for recording PM work, predictive and corrective work performed.
- Record daily through EAM, predictive, and corrective work performed.
- Identify parts needed to perform tasks and track through EAM.
- Ensure work areas are properly maintained, clean, and orderly and tools placed in proper storage areas.
- Perform other duties as necessary and in accordance with safety and environmental rules and regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience.
- Expert knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance functions and maintenance equipment and tools.
- Strong time management, organization, and prioritizing skills.
- Strong oral, computer, written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and regulations, schematics, blueprints, and written repair manuals.
- 2 years of technical training in general maintenance.
- 5 years’ general maintenance experience and demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience required.
- Alternatively, any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- OSB Manufacturing Plant
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, squat, lift at least 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and work at substantial height.
- Ability to use an assortment of hand tools, pullers, hoist, jacks, drill motors and presses, saws, man lifts, portable crane, cables, winches, forklifts, ladders, welding equipment, acetylene torches, rigging, etc.
- Ability to work with oils, greases, solvents and cleaning solutions, fire hoses and extinguishers, insulating materials, structural steel and plates, welding gases, etc.
