LP Construction Consultants is currently partnered with a fast-growing General Contractor with
operations across multiple states. They are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their
Dallas team and support their continued expansion. This role will involve working on a range of
commercial and light industrial projects, and some focus on data centers as the company
moves into this growing sector.

Responsibilities:
● Perform and review quantity take-offs for the purpose of estimating commercial projects
● Establish and maintain a comprehensive base of qualified subcontractors, material
suppliers and appropriate trades personnel
● Prequalify subcontractors based on ability and interest in bidding potential jobs.
● Prepare subcontractor list and ITP for plan dispersion.
● Respond to subcontractor inquiries and follow-up on outstanding bids.
● Compare subcontractor bids and review quantities and take-offs
● Participate in the pricing and bidding of construction projects, including price alternative
opportunities
● Organize bids, estimates and prepare proposal accordingly for managerial review
● Participate in hard bid/estimating and GMP budgeting by evaluating bids and organizing
this information.
● Prepare and respond to RFI's from architect, engineers and owner
● Upon award of project, collaborate with Project Manager, Purchasing Agent and other
key stakeholders for knowledge transfer for project turnover
● Communicate with architects and consultants to clarify scope of work, materials and
schedule requirements.
● Travel to pre-bid walkthrough to investigate site conditions and meet with clients.
Requirements
● Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent work
experience
● At least 5 years of estimating experience with commercial and light industrial projects
● Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
● Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and estimating software
● Ability to utilize math and analytical skills with attention to detail
● Strong collaboration and communication skills
● Ability to travel approximately 15%
