Overview
A New Upscale Modern American Restaurant coming to Conshohocken! We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Back of House Team Member (Sous Chef-salary based on experience, Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers) to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality meals to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food handling practices. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.

Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and portioning ingredients accurately.
- Support the catering team in organizing and preparing food for events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Handle food items safely while adhering to all food handling regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, and ovens with care and precision.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors when stock is low.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food service and preparation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Basic knife skills are a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
- Experience as a dietary aide or within a dietary department is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others are key attributes for success in this role.
