Our technology team is a unified group that includes design technologies, information technologies, and information systems. As a part of information technologies, the Systems Specialist I is critical in supporting the hardware and software infrastructure vital to the firm's daily operations. This position focuses on effectively managing and maintaining key business and design systems and applications while providing exceptional support service. As an integral part of a unified technology team, the Systems Specialist actively contributes to developing and implementing design technologies and information systems that drive our ongoing quest for improved processes and better outcomes, all while ensuring a positive experience for the end user.
Experience Required
The salary range for this position is $43,000 - $70,000 and is eligible for annual bonus. If you are hired at LPA, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience and/or project complexity. Experience Required
- up to 3 years of related field experience
- CompTIA A Certification preferred.
- Actively listen to customers' explanations of computer issues
- Installation, troubleshooting, and configure workstation software and hardware.
- Set up accounts, physical computers, and workstation cabling.
- Act as the first point of contact to address or delegate resolution of technical issues and requests.
- Guide users through the recommended troubleshooting procedures
- Utilize effective questioning techniques to identify problems accurately
- Ensure security through access controls and compliance with policies.
- Installation and tracking of IT assets.
- Develop expertise to inform and collaborate with staff on new technologies
- Maintain and update an internal knowledge base with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
- Passion for excellent customer service and collaboration.
- Experience with various operating systems and cloud platforms.
- Experience with desktop PC support, VPN, and basic networking.
- Knowledge of antivirus technologies and data backup/recovery.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Resourcefulness and an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Educate users on the operation of new computer hardware or software
- Maintain documentation of alterations, updates, and issues
- Furnish team members and managers with pertinent information
- Experience as a Systems Specialist or similar support role desired.
- AA or BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent field experience
- Experience supporting Newforma Project Center, Bluebeam Revu, or other similar applications.
- Experience with Mac OS, iOS, PDQ, and Jamf
- Basic knowledge of design software applications, including Autodesk Revit and, AutoCAD, etc.
- Professional certification (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco)
