LPA is seeking a passionate Project Accountant to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with team members across studios on projects that are both local and across California and Texas. Our clients are both public and private and represent nine different practice areas so your career can take on many different trajectories.
What you will do:
Work with Project Managers to produce monthly client invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor and manage outstanding receivables.
Assist Project Managers in circulating and processing write-off requests.
Review consultant invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and provide payment status as needed.
Collaborate with project managers to monitor and assess project progress and financial performance.
Investigate and perform analysis on variances and submit findings to management.
Manage and ensure the accuracy of project-specific financial data and records within the accounting system, including regular updates and validation.
Use standard best practices for project accounting and/or other applicable GAAP accounting rules.
Compile information for audits, as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner according to established deadlines.
Must be an effective communicator at all levels and enjoy working in a team environment.
Experience with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Degree in Accounting or Finance desired.
Flexibility, collaborative, self-starter, detail oriented.
Knowledge of Deltek Vision Software or MS Dynamics a plus.
Background in the AEC industry a plus.

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $80,000 and is eligible for annual bonus. If you are hired at LPA, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience and/or project complexity.
