Job Title: Security/CCTV/Card Access/Low Voltage Systems Technician/Installer
Reports to: Operations Manager
Company Description: LPC is a Low voltage installation company specializing in CCTV, card access, intrusion, intercom systems, and low voltage systems that serves NYC 5 Boroughs area, Westchester County and Long Island.
Candidate: LPC is looking for an experienced Security Systems Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and organizational skills and is able to work independently while taking ownership over the performance of the projects they support.
Position: Full Time Monday through Friday, 8 hour shift, with overtime as needed and on-call opportunities.
Location: NYC, Long Island, and travel as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installation and maintenance of customers’ security systems, including the setup, programming, configuration, and integration of the security systems as per the client requirements.
- Service & Installation of CCTV, card access, intrusion, intercom, networking, and various other low voltage systems
- Diagnosis of client issues such as security software, CCTV, card access, and computer components and software
- Work with Project Managers on site to meet project deadlines.
- Read all project specifications and ensure all IT systems are delivered as per customer expectations.
- Provide end users with training, manuals, and live recorded video training if required.
- Provide accurate and up to date documentation on all items installed and configured.
- Maintain and configure servers, workstations, networks, applications, and databases.
- Interact in a positive and professional manner with all customers, consultants, and trades.
- Keep documentation and systems and configurations to be turned over at the end of the project.
- On call rotation is available for 24-hour emergency calls that are received by dispatch between 5PM-6AM. Extra compensation is provided for this work.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience installing, servicing, and maintaining low voltage systems (Card access, CCTV IP/Analog, intercom, Intrusion)
- Industry certifications for Access Control systems and/or CCTV a plus.
- Knowledge of systems such as Genetec, Software House, S2, Identicard, Continental, Exacqvision, or Milestone is preferred.
- Experience working as a security service/installation technician.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical experience in low voltage systems.
- Detail oriented.
- Must have a current, and valid driver's license without major negative history.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift items minimum of 50 pounds or more.
- Valid OSHA 30
- References for past work experience
- Must be authorized to work in the US with valid forms of ID
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Salary Range: $37.40-$45.00 per hour based on experience.
