POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Appliance Repair and Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This role emphasizes diagnosing and repairing household appliances, with additional responsibilities for general property maintenance across single-family and multi-family homes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Appliance Expertise: Diagnose, repair, and maintain all household appliances, including but not limited to refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and HVAC units.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all appliances and systems are in optimal working order.
- Support general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
- Maintain the exterior and common areas of properties to ensure curb appeal and resident satisfaction.
- Complete work orders and service requests promptly using RentManager task tracking software, including detailed notes and before/after photos.
- Handle emergency on-call repairs as part of a rotating schedule.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding professionally to resident inquiries and service requests.
- Collaborate with other team members, subcontractors, and vendors to coordinate repairs and maintenance projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in appliance repair with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of household appliances.
- General maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and flooring.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past 5 years.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Proficiency in using digital task management systems like RentManager is a plus.
- Must live in or near the Toledo area.
