What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Analyst, Credit Risk position at LPL Financial Holdings, Inc.?
The Financial Risk Department plays an instrumental role in the analysis and risk monitoring of LPL Financial. As a member of the Second Line of Defense, the team is responsible for coordinating across multiple Business Units to ensure that potential exposure stays within LPL Financials' risk appetite. The Sr. Analyst, Credit Risk is responsible for monitoring and measuring the exposure for LPL's margin programs.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for monitoring the collateral that is being used to secure credit extended by LPL
- Identify concentration in security or sector, wrong way risk, and liquidity concerns through daily surveillance and escalate where necessary
- Utilize Value-at-Risk (VaR) analytics and stress testing to ensure potential exposure stays within LPL's Risk Appetite
- Ensure margin requirements are appropriate for the level of risk within a given account
- Partner with the 1LOD to develop metric aggregation and reporting process
- Develop compelling, accurate, and visually effective presentations for executive leadership
- Lead ad hoc reporting analysis requests
- Recognizes issues, problems, or opportunities and determines whether action is needed. Seek perspectives of others to and re-examines assumptions to creatively solve problems and generate solutions

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
