The M&A function within LPL Financial Product & Technology is responsible for planning, orchestration and execution enabling seamless integration of incoming advisors and support staff users.
We are looking for an enthusiastic delivery-oriented leader who will represent Product & Technology in the M&A integrations to support Strategic Wealth, Linsco, Managed Institution, and L&S advisor affiliates models. You will foster a strong relationship and be a point of contact for our relationship with the advisor organizations. You will collaborate closely with the partner institution and the LPL domain / delivery teams to understand / document the technology requirements, issues, concerns and facilitate the delivery.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Product & Technology organization as AVP, Advisor Solutions Manager responsible for M&A delivery for advisor affiliate models. As a trusted technology partner, you will drive the outcomes and help provide transparency on the execution and operational KPIs.
Responsibilities :
Be a primary technology point of contact for Advisor Affiliate acquisitions and participate in due diligence, financial planning, orchestration, execution, governance, signoff, and support of technology solutions of incoming partner institutions, and advisors.
Understand requirements and concerns, navigate it to the right owners like infrastructure, network, escalate issues to domain accountable and drive commitments and resolutions from product owners and domain accountable.
Responsible for managing the intake and planning of resources for the L&S pipeline including funding, hardware, and software.
Perform site visits to perform advanced discovery with infosec, network and infrastructure to mitigate risk and avoid tech debt. Serve as technical lead onsite during high risk / complexity conversions.
Definition of high-level scope, dependencies, constraints, risks, and tradeoffs for every acquisition.
Provide inputs into a tuned repeatable process to optimize processes to increase efficiency and throughput.
Assist in the management of the initiatives through the establishment of metrics and promote high degree of transparency on execution.
Create best-in-class reports and prepare presentations related to LPL’s strategic plays and growth initiatives that are SVP , C-Suite, and Board ready.
Develop sound understanding of LPL technology ecosystems including advisor and investor facing products / platforms and infrastructure dependencies.
Develop sound understanding of partner institution technologies and their integrations with LPL applications, infrastructure dependencies and capability requirements.
Drive decision-making and demonstrate persistence in raising issues to the proper levels for attention and driving transparency at all levels surrounding program execution.
Coach and mentor workstream team members with direct and indirect responsibility to deliver on the objectives.
Review operational reports periodically with the business teams and drive continuous improvements to strengthen the partnerships.

Meet with key product & technology, and advisor affiliate stakeholders and establish relationships.
Shadow advisor affiliate technology leaders, participate in discovery and design activities, assume responsibility for assigned site visits and deals.
Familiarize and internalize LPL technical standards associated with advisor affiliate locations and personnel

Requirements :
10 years of experience in technology leadership roles that span across infrastructure delivery, process and systems design, and program management leadership roles preferably within a financial service or related FinTech firm.
Demonstrate business acumen and the ability to interact with client advisors, senior leaders, including developing, presenting, and gaining approval on business cases.
Substantive experience in technology-related M&A activities, including due diligence process and contracting.
Flexibility and organizational change management experience.
Flexibility to travel 20-40% of in a given month within the United States.
