What are the responsibilities and job description for the AVP Business Solutions, Data Transformation position at LPL Financial?
Job Summary:
The AVP Business Solutions, Data Transformation will be responsible for the strategic direction and day to day implementation of our Data Design Authority (DDA) here at LPL. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting large-scale Transformation efforts, with strong background in Wealth Management, Data and Project Management. You should also possess strong knowledge of data governance best practices and experience working within financial services. Additionally, this role will be expected to manage relationships between key stakeholders including senior executives, business owners, architects, engineers, product managers, and other technology leads.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Roadmap Tracking: Track progress against the strategic data roadmap at a milestone level.
Backlog Management: Represent DDA in backlog grooming and management within each SOR, ensuring detailed work aligns with business outcomes and capability statements.
Data Governance Alignment: Ensure alignment and engagement with Operations for any/all impacts associated with Data Governance (DQ, Data lineage, etc.).
Intake Process Management: Manage the DDA intake process, partnering with EPMO, Product, and Tech to ensure alignment to standards, visibility into Demand/Capacity, and prioritization against approved business outcomes.
Data Governance Monitoring: Monitor the operating effectiveness of data governance activities undertaken by data teams to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of our data across different screens, reports, and feeds.
Long-Term Transition: Transition to Business Data Ownership responsibilities over time.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; equivalent work experience considered.
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) along with presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Experience working in a highly regulated environment (Financial Services preferred).
Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and principles.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks.
Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects and programs.
Demonstrated ability to drive change management efforts across organizations.
Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
