Job Overview :
LPL is seeking an AVP - Senior Network Engineer who will be responsible for the design, engineering, and operations of local and wide Area Networks (LAN, WAN), and Branch Offices in a Hybrid Data Center / Cloud environment. The position directly relates to providing scalable, resilient, and secure networking solutions for LPL, our Advisors, and their clients.
Responsibilities :
Design, implement, and support network technology at our Branch sites and Data Centers.
Local and Wide Area Network design, deployments, and administration of MPLS, DIA, and SDWAN technologies
Troubleshoot complex issues, identifying root causes, and developing continuous improvement of the environment
Effectively collaborate with various Teams within the organization as well as external vendors and partners
Develop solutions that are aligned with our Hybrid Data Center / Cloud Architecture and Network / Security / Industry standards

Requirements :
5 or more years of Network Engineering experience, designing / configuring / troubleshooting Cisco network switches, routers, and wireless connectivity.
Experience in onsite branch office deployment as a network engineer for small / mid-sized to large-sized clientele
Experience in network security hardening and controls as well as experience using network monitoring and logging tools (i.e. SolarWinds, LiveNX, ELK)
Ability to perform periodic Network performance and compliance analysis. Experience in Network optimization, reporting, and long-term planning
Must be able to travel. Travel monthly could range from 0% to 35% depending on the needs of the business
Core Competencies :
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate and educate others about complex technologies with business acumen
Experience designing, architecting, planning, and implementing routing, switching, and Data Center solutions in multi-vendor environments
Proven ability to meet designated deadlines and manage multiple projects
Preferences :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
CCNA / CCNP a plus
Experience in Cisco Wireless, SDWAN / SDA or Meraki a plus
Solid knowledge and experience in well-known protocols and standards (i.e. VLANs, Spanning-Tree, OSPF, BGP, DNS, 802.1x)

Pay Range :
100,575-$167,625 / yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
