Job Overview :
As a Software Development Leader, in the Compensation Systems team you would be responsible for technical leadership, hands on development and support of advisor compensation systems. The incumbent also leads large development initiatives, leveraging both on and off shore developers, for the on time and successful implementation of strategic enhancements to critical systems.
Responsibilities :
Develop, in partnership with enterprise architecture and key technology and business partners, critical development initiatives
Full application life-cycle management of commission applications and platforms
Technical leadership of developers and analysts responsible for commission platforms
Collaborate with other teams (technical and non-technical) including solutions architecture to ensure solutions and platforms are both functional and supportable
Develop positive relationships with business partners to better understand their needs, manage expectations, and deliver value-add solutions
Provide leadership and guidance in all team development efforts for successful project delivery and application and platform support

Requirements :
8 years of experience in professional software development in a diverse set of technology disciplines
5 years of experience in a technical team lead capacity
Experience with designing and implementing mission critical systems that manage large-scale data sets
Deep expertise with Source Control such as GIT or TFS. CI / CD experience with TeamCity / Octopus.
Core Competencies :
Strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
Broad background of software engineering skills on a variety of technologies, specifically
Database SQL (preferably Oracle)
PL / SQL
Oracle Forms
Perl
Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Preferences :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related field
Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Experience with DevOps processes
Experience in financial services / brokerage firm
Experience in deploying, operating, and managing services in AWS or other cloud environment.
Pay Range :
154,500.00 - $257,500.00Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
