Job Overview :

The Manager, Instructional Design is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs that support our Service organization. This role ensures learning initiatives are aligned with business goals, and best practices in adult learning. The ideal candidate is an experienced instructional design leader with a passion for innovation, coaching, and driving measurable learning outcomes.

Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of instructional designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and professional growth.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for instructional design projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational priorities.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and instructional design methodologies to continuously enhance training effectiveness.
  • Partner with senior leadership, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning needs and shape training strategies.

Curriculum & Content Development

  • Oversee the design and development of engaging learning solutions, including e-learning, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual ILT (vILT), microlearning, and performance support tools. Implement instructional design standards, frameworks and quality assurance processes to maintain excellence.
  • Drive innovation in training delivery methods, incorporating interactive learning, simulations, and scenario-based training.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with Service Center Leadership and Quality Management to ensure training meets operational and regulatory needs.
  • Work closely with facilitators to ensure seamless delivery of content.
  • Serve as the voice of learning & development, advocating for training strategies that enhance employee performance and customer experience.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess training effectiveness and business impact.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, refining learning experiences based on feedback and performance trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Requirements :

  • Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience : 7 years in instructional design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Industry Knowledg e : Experience in financial services, wealth management, or call center training is a plus.
  • Core Competencies & Skills :

  • Leadership & Team Development : Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing instructional design teams.
  • Instructional Design Expertise : Deep knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies and e-learning development tools.
  • Strategic Thinking : Ability to align training initiatives with business goals and operational challenges.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management : Strong ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making : Experience using learning analytics and performance data to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Innovation & Technology : Familiarity with LMS platforms, virtual training tools, and emerging learning technologies (AI, VR, gamification, etc.).

    Pay Range :

    75,900-$126,500 / yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
