Job Overview :
We are currently seeking a Senior Observability Engineer. The primary focus of this role is to research, develop, and deploy monitoring / observability capabilities which will facilitate both proactive and post root-cause analysis, capacity trending, effective escalation, and rapid recovery of service-affecting incidents that may arise in the environment that may prevent our advisors and investors from success.
Responsibilities :
Design, implement, and maintain observability solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Dynatrace, ELK logging, and other relevant monitoring tools.
Develop and standardize observability practices, ensuring comprehensive visibility into application and infrastructure health.
Integrate OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing and improve end-to-end system observability.
Implement Monitoring as Code principles using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Collaborate with SREs, DevOps, and Software Engineers to define and enforce best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Optimize performance monitoring, anomaly detection, and automated incident response strategies.
Create dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide actionable insights into system performance and availability.
Drive observability-related incident investigations, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes.
Continuously evaluate and introduce new observability tools and methodologies to enhance system resilience.
Assist in major incidents, as needed, and participate in oncall rotation for tool support.

Requirements :
7 years of experience in observability, monitoring, or site reliability engineering.
Knowledge of AIOps and predictive monitoring techniques.
Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Advanced knowledge troubleshooting and monitoring using Dynatrace and other related APM Tools. Dynatrace associate or master certification preferred
Rich experience in metrics and observability and logging tools, such as SolarWinds / ELK / Kibana, experience in debugging system / processes / applications, and keen troubleshooting instincts
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience with Monitoring as Code (MaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architectures.
Cross-platform knowledge and professional certifications in Windows Server, Linux / AIX, Networking, Virtualization, Database (MSSQL / Oracle), Cloud Computing (AWS / Azure), IBM / EMC / INFINIDAT Storage Platforms
Experience with middleware service layers, such as F5, Tibco, Datapower, MuleSoft, caching technologies, Database technologies such as MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Aurora RDM, MapR, Authentication such as PingFederate, Forgerock, and Robotic Process Automation such as Workfusion
Core Competencies :

Pay Range :
92,288-$153,813 / yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
