Job Overview :
As VP, Data Product Manager you will have the opportunity to shape LPL’s strategic data foundation for the future. This function will focus on the capability of the Transactions Book & Records (TBAR) that stores and maintains the comprehensive set of all positions, balances, and transactions data. In this role, you will connect Business product owners with Technology delivery teams using data to power experiences for our Advisors and Investors.
Responsibilities :
- Drive the strategic direction and roadmap for the TBAR and related data products.
- Document calculations, transformations, and requirements for account & portfolio level calculations and values.
- Monitor and reconcile data daily to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Develop executive level presentations and business cases to articulate strategic value of TBAR.
- Ensure SORs are highly governed and adhere to enterprise architecture and data ingestion patterns.
- Partner with data product owner peers to develop a comprehensive data strategy.
- Work with data domain teams to build and maintain new data products.
- Create, manage, and report on a backlog of prioritized work for your respective SORs.
- Develop a deep understanding of both data domains and the business products consuming that data.
- Work with business product owners to translate business requirements into optimized data solutions.
- Provide both high-level and detailed scoping estimates with Technology partners.
- Develop and socialize detailed SOR roadmaps.
- Participate in and advise on data governance tooling and vendor selection.
- Drive ownership with SOR and technology teams for implementation of data policies and standards.
- Work with data product analysts to identify data issues and risks.
- Regularly interview business, product, service, and operations stakeholders to gather feedback on data quality.
- Partner with business teams to create, prioritize, manage, and communicate the data product backlog.
