Are you ready to significantly impact the lives of individuals who face obstacles to learning? If so, please note that Lee Pesky Learning Center (LPLC) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team.
LPLC, a leader in education nonprofits, is a comprehensive training, service, and research center with a rich history and a promising future. Located in Boise, Idaho, with satellite offices in the Sun Valley area, LPLC was founded in 1997 by Alan and Wendy Pesky in honor of their son, Lee. Today, LPLC provides evaluation and one-on-one intensive intervention to individuals facing obstacles to learning while also training teachers in the classroom and supporting students in schools and communities. We recognize that obstacles to learning can be multi-faceted, and we understand the power of prevention.
You will be responsible for working closely with Clinical Services Director as part of the Center’s Evaluation Team. This position includes participating in an interdisciplinary evaluation team; integrating findings across domains of assessment; consulting with services staff in the planning and implementation of intervention programs; providing formal and informal training in information processing to services staff; and helping to develop new materials/programs/etc. Your work will allow the creation of an individual Learning Profile, which serves as the foundation for tailoring intervention to the student’s specific strengths and needs. An in-depth evaluation provides students, parents, and teachers with the knowledge they need to facilitate academic success and personal growth.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Review cases/files, make case presentations at clinical staffing
- Participate in collaborative team meetings throughout the evaluation process
- Assist in/conduct initial interviews with clients and families
- Administer, score, interpret, and write-up psychometric tests
- Administer cognitive, educational, and psychological tests to assigned clients following testing protocols
- Lead interdisciplinary evaluation team in the integration of results across academic skills, information processing, and self-regulation areas
- Provide feedback to clients and families
- Consult with schools/teachers on behalf of clients when requested
- Assist with special projects (e.g., development of new materials or programs)
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate in clinical or school psychology.
- Licensed-eligible in the State of Idaho
- Experience working in an educational or clinical setting.
- Experience in interviewing clients; administering standardized testing measures; interpreting results; and writing reports.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using technology for evaluation.
