Hands on Assistant Manager at bakery

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic hands on Assistant Manager to join our cafe/bakery team. In this role, you will support the Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to manage various tasks efficiently. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory management, supervising staff, and enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning.
• Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and addressing customer inquiries.
• The job is hands on, meaning the manager works together with the rest associates
• Oversee sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales
• Food prep
• Manage inventory levels
• Utilize POS systems for transactions and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Train, mentor, and supervise staff to enhance their skills and performance.
• Maintain administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Ensure compliance with cafe policies and procedures while promoting a positive work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members to foster collaboration and teamwork.

Experience

• Previous experience in a cafe, store management, supervisory role is preferred, working in the cafe as food prep/cashier
• Strong understanding of retail sales principles and practices.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members alike..

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
