What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Tandem Axle Rollback Driver position at LPX Group?
The Heavy Equipment Tandem Axle Rollback Drier is safety oriented and efficient to help with the transportation of heavy equipment and materials that will be used in building, repairing, and paving roads and construction sites. They will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 56,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GCW).
Duties and Responsibilities –
- Safely operate a tandem axle rollback truck
- Always operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner
- Properly track and document activity log
- Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
- Preform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Keep truck clean and orderly
- Always act and drive in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends/Holidays
- Ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators, and all other employees
- Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions
Education and Experience –
- At least 2 years’ Heavy Haul experience in a related field
- Commercial Class B driver’s license is required
- D.O.T certification
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work with others well
- Working knowledge of all FMCSA regulatory rules
