Job Summary :

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the overall functionality and safety of the hotel's facilities and equipment. This role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting various systems to provide a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities :

General Maintenance : Perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, and mechanical systems.

Electrical Work : Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, such as lighting, outlets, and HVAC systems.

Plumbing : Handle plumbing repairs, including leaks, clogs, and fixture replacements.

Appliance Repair : Maintain and repair hotel appliances, such as refrigerators, microwaves, and laundry machines.

Safety Compliance : Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and hotel policies.

Emergency Response : Address urgent maintenance issues promptly to minimize guest disruption.

Inventory Management : Assist in maintaining an inventory of tools and supplies, ordering materials as needed.

Collaboration : Work closely with the housekeeping and front desk teams to address maintenance requests and improve guest experiences.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance or a related field preferred.

Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a hospitality environment.

Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.

Comfortable working in various environmental conditions.
