Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Banquet Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service during banquet events, ensuring that guests have an outstanding experience. As a Part-Time Banquet Server, you will be responsible for setting up, serving, and cleaning up during events, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and décor.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and courteous manner, following all food safety and service standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area throughout the event.
- Assist with the breakdown and clean-up of event spaces after the event.
- Ensure all equipment is returned to its proper location and in good working condition.
- Work collaboratively with team members, kitchen staff, and management to ensure the smooth execution of events.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
- Assist with any other tasks related to the successful operation of banquet events as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a banquet or event setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with guests and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport up to 25 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and reach to perform tasks such as setting up tables, chairs, and carrying trays of food and drinks.
- Ability to work in a variety of indoor environments, including potentially hot or cold conditions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
