Job Summary:
As a Restaurant Server at Palm House, you will provide exceptional customer service to our guests in a welcoming and efficient manner. You will be responsible for taking orders, delivering food and drinks, and ensuring that our guests have a memorable dining experience. Your attention to detail, positive attitude, and teamwork will be key in delivering top-tier service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and promptly, offering them menus and providing detailed explanations of the menu offerings.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, communicating special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner, ensuring the correct presentation and temperature.
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or concerns.
- Handle payment transactions, ensuring accuracy and processing payments in a timely manner.
- Keep the dining area clean and organized, setting tables, clearing plates, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with other servers, kitchen, and bar staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive guest experience.
- Comply with all food safety regulations and company policies regarding service standards.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed, including setting up and breaking down the restaurant for service.
- Stay up to date on menu changes, promotions, and daily specials to inform and upsell to guests.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry trays and other items up to 25 pounds.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time.
- Ability to carry heavy trays and lift boxes and supplies as necessary.
Licenses or Certificates
- Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates.
Grooming
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
