Job Overview
A Breakfast Server Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by providing attentive, friendly, and professional service to guests. The server assistant is responsible for clear and setting tables, assisting with serving food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Server Assistants are also expected to have a deep knowledge of the menu, address any guest inquiries, and collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service. A successful Breakfast Server Assistant is personable, efficient, and dedicated to creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
Key Responsibilities :
- Guest Interaction : Greet and engage with guests in a welcoming manner while always giving the guest the right of way and working in a respectful manner.
- Food and Beverage Service : Assist in serving food and beverages promptly and courteously. Assist service team with water service as needed.
- Menu Knowledge : Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage pairings, to answer guest questions and make recommendations.
- Set-up and Breakdown : Assist with setting up the restaurant before service in an organized fashion, maintain organization throughout the shift and assist with proper breakdown of areas during closing.
- Table Management : Set and clear tables efficiently, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for the next guests.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and coordinated service and assist with other tasks as needed to maintain a well-functioning dining environment .

Qualifications :

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and / or service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Participates in the development and implementation of corrective action plans. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
