The Steward is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities:
Dishwashing & Sanitation:
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Manually wash items as needed, ensuring all kitchenware is spotless and hygienic.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area and throughout the kitchen.
Kitchen Support:
- Assist kitchen staff in food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and organizing supplies.
- Deliver clean dishes and utensils to the cooking and serving areas in a timely manner to support efficient service.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, ensuring the kitchen is always equipped with necessary items.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, maintaining organization in storage areas.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations in the kitchen.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the kitchen manager.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Assist in special cleaning projects and tasks as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Qualifications:
