Duties and Responsibilities
Position Overview
The Graduate Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and leading various activities and functions in support of graduate‐level programs and special projects at the Dean’s Office within the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health. The Program Coordinator supports the Program Directors, graduate students, and faculty of the graduate and certificate programs. The Graduate Program Coordinator reports administratively to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and collaborates on special projects at the Dean’s Office.
The position is based at the Health Sciences Campus (HSC) but may require occasional presence at Loyola’s Lakeshore Campus (LSC). Remote workdays are available after the probationary period. Early morning, weekend, and evening responsibilities are occasionally necessary for Parkinson School special events.
Program Operations
- Oversee daily operations of graduate and certificate programs and special projects at the Dean’s Office.
- Serve as the primary contact for prospective and current students, and faculty, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage program operations such as class scheduling, room reservations, cocurricular, and extracurricular activities.
- Provide classroom and lab support, including equipment orders and technology setup.
- Oversee and coordinate Parkinson School events such as orientations, retreats, recruitment and student engagement, award ceremonies, internships, commencement, and professional conferences.
- Participate in Parkinson School and University committees, acting as a liaison with departments like marketing, catering, conference services, and campus safety.
- Assist with program certification and accreditation functions.
- Compile, analyze, and report data on course enrollment, student demographics, application / acceptance rates, and program outcomes.
- Support program directors with evaluation of curricular needs and alumni communication.
- Maintain up-to-date program information on various platforms.
- Assist with marketing efforts for school and graduate programs.
- Work closely with the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs on projects related to recruitment, retention, and student engagement.
- Perform other tasks and projects as needed.

Minimum Education and / or Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least two to three years of related experience required.
