Duties and Responsibilities
Duties of this position include :
- Answering telephones and dispatching officers and university staff to non-emergency and emergency situations.
- Communicating with all units of the university and other law enforcement agencies.
- Recording all events into the department computer and reporting software.
- Monitoring campus safety cameras in real time.
- Conducting computer searches in law enforcement databases.
This position works at the Lake Shore Campus and will require a flexible schedule, including weekends and weekdays. The position reports operationally to the Watch Commander and may need to work extended shifts as directed.
Minimum Education and / or Work Experience
High school diploma or equivalent and up to one year of data processing experience.

Required :
Certificates / Credentials / Licenses
Illinois State Police LEADS Certification must be attained within 90 days of employment and be maintained annually.

Position Maximum Salary or Hourly Rate : $25.00 / hr
