This position reports to the General Manager, who works under the direction of the President.
Job Overview
This position is expected to work under the direction of the President or designee, implementing procedures and protocols for efficient oversight of the business operation. Routine meeting attendance is expected during non-operating hours that provide opportunity to provide feedback and engage in discussion before decisions are finalized. Serve as a shift supervisor, in conjunction with other on duty managers (i.e. Kitchen Manager).
$51,300 for 4 shifts one serve/bartend shift
Schedule: Monday lunch, Tuesday dinner, Friday, Saturday rotate
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations, including interviewing potential candidates.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
- Maintain a positive dining experience by addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints.
- Assist monitoring financial performance, including budgeting and cost control measures.
- Ensure the restaurant maintains high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Skills
- Proven experience in the food service industry, preferably in a managerial role.
- Proven experience as a restaurant/floor lead/supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices and food preparation techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Bartending experience is a plus for managing beverage service effectively.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Experience in events preferred.
