Job Description
A CT Technologist is responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce detailed images of the body's internal structures. This involves preparing patients for scans, positioning them correctly, and adjusting scanner settings as needed.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with CT scanners, be familiar with radiation safety protocols, and possess strong communication skills to interact with patients and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images
- Prepare patients for scans, including explaining procedures and positioning them correctly
- Adjust scanner settings to ensure optimal image quality
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and scan results
- Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to ensure effective patient care
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) or Registered Technologist in Imaging (RT(R))
- Experience working with CT scanners and radiation safety protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week
- Current licensure in the state of Montana
