What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Assembly Technician 1st Shift position at LS Industries?
Candidate will be responsible for building Machinery equipment. Chosen individual will need to have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to be self-led to complete products and projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: May be assigned other duties as required or needed
· Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawing specifications and parts list. Have the ability to gather parts, subassemblies, tools and materials needed to complete jobs.
· Position parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements
· Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
· Read and interpret engineering drawings and understand bills of materials.
· Use correct hand tools and applicable equipment
· Comfortable using heavy machinery or equipment, such as forklifts or overhead lifts
· The ability to apply common sense and understanding in order to carry out instructions.
· Have a good work ethic and take pride in one’s work
· Have the ability to use general tooling and equipment
REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) credential such as general education degree (GED) is required
· plus an additional 1-2 years related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
