Overview
We are seeking a part-time, organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to work in higher education up to 19.5 hours a week during the academic year and as needed throughout the summer. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for faculty, staff, and students.
- Manage calendars and schedule appointments.
- Assist staff and students in planning College events.
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism and maintain phone etiquette.
- Respond to student and visitor inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, campus deliveries, and mail distribution.
- Proctor exams.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Experience in event planning is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
