Test Engineer

Job Description

LS Technologies, LLC is currently seeking a Testing Engineer with experience in Terminal Flight Data Management (TFDM) systems to support Developmental Testing (DT) and Operational Testing (OT) activities. This is a remote position focused on evaluating system functionality and performance through structured testing and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and procedures based on system requirements.
• Conduct DT and OT activities to validate TFDM system functionality, integration, and performance.
• Identify, document, and track system defects, anomalies, and performance issues.
• Analyze test results and prepare clear, data-driven reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate test progress, results, and risks to stakeholders.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in software/system testing, preferably within FAA or aviation environments.
• Direct experience with Terminal Flight Data Management (TFDM) systems.
• Proven expertise in Developmental and Operational Testing processes.
• Strong skills in test case development, execution, and defect tracking.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Experience with test management tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with FAA systems and the National Airspace System (NAS) is highly desirable.

Work Requirements:

• Work location: Remote
• Work Hours: EST - Normal Business Hours
• Travel: Less than 10%
• Physical requirements:
  • Extended Computer Use: Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
  • Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision.
  • Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.

Compensation (Pay Bands)

Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40-hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represent the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and are just one component of the LST's total compensation package for employees. ** In compliance with local laws, LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington D.C."
