Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our organization's technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining overall IT operations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a strong technical background.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

• Helpdesk Support. Respond to technical inquiries and requests from employees via various communication channels, including phone, email, or in-person. Address hardware and software-related issues promptly and efficiently.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to computers, laptops, peripherals, network connectivity, and software applications.
• Hardware and Software Maintenance. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, hardware components, and software applications. Keep track of equipment inventory and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
• User Account Management. Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems and applications. Maintain security protocols and ensure compliance with IT policies.
• Network Support. Assist with network troubleshooting, ensuring connectivity, and resolving network-related issues. Collaborate with network administrators and IT teams to maintain a stable and secure network environment.
• System Upgrades and Updates. Assist in software upgrades and system patches to ensure that all systems are up-to-date and secure.
• Documentation. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of technical processes, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge base articles for easy reference by the team and end-users.
• End-User Training. Conduct training sessions for employees on IT-related topics, such as software usage, cybersecurity best practices, and new technologies.
• IT Infrastructure Monitoring. Monitor and proactively identify potential IT-related problems or security vulnerabilities. Implement measures to prevent and address potential issues.
• IT Projects. Collaborate with IT teams on various projects, such as system upgrades, implementation of new technologies, and process improvements.
• Teamwork and Collaboration. Actively engages in production and team meetings, and provides timely feedback to team regarding work topics. Understands organizational mesh points and potential synergies. Integrates team efforts across work team. Understands available resources, and utilizes those resources when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications. Familiarity with networking concepts, TCP/IP protocols, and troubleshooting tools.
• Customer Service: A customer-centric approach with a focus on providing exceptional IT support and maintaining a positive user experience.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
