Job Description
The SEO Manager role at LSEO will be responsible for leading the SEO team, including SEO managers, link builders, and content writers. The primary responsibilities will be to develop strategies alongside other team members for clients based on their website’s needs and lend a helping hand to team members when they require help or questions.

As an SEO Manager, you will also be required to run point and manage your accounts when needed. The SEO Manager should demonstrate good time management skills and gain in-depth knowledge of keyword research, SEO copywriting, the behaviors of search engines, and technical SEO aspects. The SEO Manager may also be counted upon to lead SEO audit projects and handle client communication. Knowing how to implement essential SEO fixes on
WordPress and other popular web environments will need to be understood. Lastly, it’s a requirement to stay up-to-date on the industry’s latest trends and apply that to our client’s websites.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop SEO strategies for clients alongside other team members:
o Use various SEO tools like SEMrush and Screaming Frog and a manual approach to get a baseline of how the site currently performs. o Develop a roadmap based on the priority of tasks that need to be performed to get a good SEO standing website.
2. Aid the SEO team when help is needed o The more junior SEO employees will look to you for help and answer questions when they need it or don’t know how to do something.

3. Fulfillment SLA:
o It is the SEO Manager’s job to ensure that we meet all deadlines and haven’t fallen behind our service level agreements. The SEO Manager will have to work with Account Managers, the Head of Content, and the Link
Building team to ensure that we’re not behind. o Hold daily/weekly meetings with the team or individual members to ensure all projects are on track, and we are delivering work to the client in a timely fashion.

4. Managing SEO Accounts, Audits, and some client communication

o The SEO Manager will be required to take on some client accounts solo, especially those with higher budgets. o Completing/Overseeing SEO Audits will also be required. o Some client communication and presentation will be involved in SEO accounts.
5. Preparing detailed strategy reports: o Ensure a detailed reporting dashboard is created and given to the client, account manager, or Client Services Manager when the account has one. o Reports are validated and updated on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.
6. Writing effective SEO content for blogs, websites, and social media accounts: o Developing content for the LSEO website, podcast, blog, and social media accounts. o Assisting the content team reach goals as directed by the VP of Search.
7. SEO Implementation: o Implementation of regular and technical SEO strategy either designed by the VP of Search.

8. SEO Strategy:
o Working with the VP of Search, VP of Operations, and the Client Services team to ensure that the client’s expectations and deliverables are met. o Work with junior members of the SEO team to ensure that a sound SEO strategy is being followed.
9. Training: o It is expected that the SEO Manager continues to develop skills as SEO changes and is also responsible for training junior team members in skills they lack. o SEO is ever-changing, so it is also required that the SEO Manager stays on top of the latest information and tactics and then apply them to our client’s websites.
