LSG Sky Chefs is best known as one of the world’s largest airline catering and hospitality companies. While a recognized name in airline catering, LSG Sky Chefs also supports airlines with a wide selection of related services. These include lounge catering, hospitality, airline consulting, and last-mile logistics.
Shift: 4am-12:30pm with some overtime. Weekends required, available on holidays.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to comprehend verbal & written specifications given by the airlines
- Ability to identify all equipment types
- Ability to comprehend complete packing requirements for all airlines
- Ability to conduct spec checks on finished product
- Prior airline knowledge helpful
- Ability to follow simple instructions
- Ability to read, write and speak English is beneficial
- Basic Math Skills
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for properly packing items in trays at outline by the airlines
- Make sure all components for flights are correct - add or subtract items as necessary
- Responsible for quality control & supporting the team to ensure that the whole operation runs smoothly
- Responsible for minimizing production disruptions & for resolving or reporting problems, inconsistencies or breakdowns
- Responsible for staying on task – must be willing to cross train in all assembly areas & assist in other areas if needed
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area
- Must always follow safety & company guidelines
- All other duties as they relate to assembly requirements
QUALIFICATIONS; EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Team orientated
- Ability to work well under pressure / time constraints / in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule
- Good working habits & ethics
- Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently & 10 pounds consistently. Bend / stoop & twist repeatedly & stand for 8 – 12 hours a day
