Job Overview
LSI Development Group specializes in Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and has an exciting opportunity to construct a brand-new manufacturing facility. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee the project from inception to completion.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of construction processes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires effective communication with contractors, clients, and team members to coordinate project activities and maintain seamless operations. This position will also require travel up to 1.5 hrs from the capital district.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and labor teams to ensure efficient workflow.
- Review project plans and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.
- Utilize construction management software for project tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate construction estimates and budgets.
- Ensure proper documentation of all site activities, including daily reports and incident reports.
- Facilitate communication between all parties involved in the project, including clients, architects, and engineers.
- Read blueprints effectively to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Implement OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and practices.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Primavera, Bluebeam, or Prolog.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards in construction.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
