The Parts Room/Warehouse Associate assists in the general upkeep of an aircraft maintenance and repair facility. Under the direction of the Logistics Support Manager and the Lead, this position supports inventory management, maintenance, and logistical operations to ensure smooth and efficient facility management.

Position Summary
The Parts Room/Warehouse Associate assists in the general upkeep of an aircraft maintenance and repair facility. Under the direction of the Logistics Support Manager and the Lead, this position supports inventory management, maintenance, and logistical operations to ensure smooth and efficient facility management.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory and Tool Management:
- Issue, store, and track tools and equipment.
- Maintain and update tool sign-out logs.
- Support ordering and receiving of parts, ensuring timely transactions.
- Unload, inspect, and document incoming shipments.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring compliance with documentation and quality standards.
- Stock and organize shelves, bins, and storage areas.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain orderliness and inventory accuracy.
- Safely operate motorized equipment and vehicles as certified.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure proper training and qualifications for all handling equipment.
- Accurately input and track inventory data in computerized systems.
- Adhere to CAL FIRE policies and procedures, including quality control and tagging guidelines.
- Assist mechanics in locating parts and tools.
- Support packaging, tagging, and moving materials as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure facility efficiency and compliance.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid California driver’s license.
- At least one year of experience in inventory handling, packing, and shipping.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computerized inventory systems.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with CAL FIRE policies and procedures.
- Aviation parts components or maintenance operation related experience highly desired.
- Military experience involving parts, supply, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Prior forklift experience and certification is helpful.
- Bar code inventory parts tracking experience a bonus.
