Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement and planning activities to ensure a continuous supply of materials.
- Manage and mentor a team of buyers, planners, and purchasing staff.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize material flow and supply chain processes.
- Negotiate prices and delivery terms with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate supplier records and resolve discrepancies.
- Implement and improve purchasing/planning systems and processes.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Implement methodologies like PFEP, Kanban, and Pull Systems for efficient material flow.
Requirements:
- 4-year degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
- 5 years of manufacturing purchasing experience, including 2-3 years of leadership experience.
- Experience in commodities buying (coiled steel preferred).
- Strong background in supply chain and inventory management, including ERP systems (Oracle, SAP).
- Certification in Supply Chain or Inventory Management (CPSM, CPIM) preferred or commitment to obtain.
- Six Sigma or Lean training preferred.
Salary : $108,000 - $150,000
