Currently, we are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist.
General Characteristics:
The Quality Assurance Specialist position is responsible for overseeing our ISO 9001 program and ensuring the quality of manufactured goods from delivery to final product by continually assessing processes and recommending improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for the development and manufacturing of products.
- Serve as the primary quality assurance resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer.
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
- Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports.
- Oversee ISO-9001 quality process and assist in process certification.
- Review customers' purchase orders, contracts, and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
- Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures.
- Report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
- Review suppliers' purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.
- Lead internal and external quality audits.
- Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
- Compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities.
- Manage the quality assurance aspects of new product introduction.
- Provide oversight of the manufacture of products to ensure that engineering documentation is consistent with manufacturing methods employed.
- Ability to perform internal calibrations/verifications per Company instructions as well as review and schedule external calibrations.
- Perform nonconformance reviews to identify trends and the need for Corrective Action.
- Lead Corrective Action process for the facility.
Experience/Skills:
- Understanding of supply chain and manufacturing engineering
- Ability to execute risk assessment and problem resolution
- Ability to read and explain professional engineering drawings
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Exceptional organization skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Working knowledge of quality testing tools, data analysis, and statistical analysis
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of Quality or Manufacturing related Engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
