Position: Paralegal
Location: Onsite - Farmington Hills, MI
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Drafting and Review: Draft, review, and revise a variety of commercial agreements, including NDAs, customer contracts, vendor agreements, and SaaS-specific terms.
- Legal Research: Conduct research on relevant laws and regulations, providing summaries and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Compliance Support: Assist in managing corporate governance and compliance requirements, including policy updates and filings.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline legal workflows and enhance contract lifecycle processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, HR, and executive teams to ensure legal considerations are factored into business decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, law student or in a related legal support role.
- Strong experience drafting and reviewing contracts and commercial agreements.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a SaaS company or technology-focused business.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations, including GDPR or HIPAA.
- Licensed attorney or J.D. degree (role is suitable for attorneys who are open to a non-practicing role).
