Summary:
The Business Intelligence Engineer is accountable for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions. This role involves working closely with various departments to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights to support business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing data audits and validation checks.
- Provide training to end-users on how to use BI Applications effectively.
- Provides technical support and troubleshoots problems related to applications and various BI Applications.
- Maintain and manage project documentation, including business process flows, functional specifications, and relevant technical documentation.
- Perform day-to-day operations for Business Intelligence Applications.
- Performs upgrades and keeps track of licensing, End-User Security, and assists with product lifecycles related to BI Applications
- Assists with managing vendor relationships including scoping of application services and review of deliverables.
- Ensure that IT Best Practices and Information Security are a core focus across IT platforms.
Skills & Competencies:
- SAP Certified/ SAP Analytics Cloud: Planning Certification
- Knowledge of JavaScript
- Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA and CDS View architecture
- 3 years of career experience in Business Intelligence platforms, such as SAP Analytics Cloud or Power BI.
- Demonstrated success in coordinating technical development across multiple product families
- Proven track record of driving organizational change, breaking down barriers, critical thinking and driving results
- Experience in Oil and Gas or a related industry is preferred
- Experience managing third-party vendors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and testing skills
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
