Summary:
The Marketing Associate role will be responsible for managing projects, executing marketing materials, and creating/writing for both external and internal marketing needs. The position will work closely and collaboratively with key functions across marketing, sales, IT, and more.

The ideal candidate will be able to approach big and small projects with a strategic marketing mindset, collaborate with key stakeholders across the company, manage complex projects, hold others accountable while maintaining good relationships, and balance multiple priorities at once. Strong marketing and communication skills are also necessary to be successful in this role.

This position reports to the External Marketing & Communications Manager with a dotted line to the Internal Marketing & Communications Manager.

 

Responsibilities:
• Manage a growing library of marketing materials and assets. Develop and implement an annual process for working with key stakeholders to update and improve them.
• Work with internal teams to create new marketing materials and assets while ensuring that any new assets created fit into the overall marketing strategy. Successfully manage approvals processes for materials.
• Work with the Internal Marketing & Communications Manager to create internal marketing materials that reinforce LSPI’s great culture and drive additional employee engagement.
• Provide project management and support for LSPI’s online customer portal. Work closely with the product owner to identify and deliver on business objectives through creating project timelines, working with various teams to meet project goals, and proactively recommending ways to continually improve the software and internal processes.
• Manage the process of regularly updating LSPI web presences by working with the External Marketing Manager and stakeholders.
• Manage the company’s social media accounts including creating and maintaining a social media calendar, creating social media posts, and monitoring social media for mentions of the company.
• Track the internal and external marketing budgets. Provide analysis of budget and expenditures as needed.
• Manage the company’s growing library of photography assets by developing and executing a Digital Asset Management or Sharepoint solution. Maintain the library.
• Drive additional employee engagement by writing, designing, and publishing engaging internal intranet stories.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Sharepoint
• Manage the company’s promotional items including strategically selecting items, ordering, approving items, and working with the admin team to ensure appropriate inventory.
• Provide strategic and creative direction for key internal employee engagement events.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills & Competencies:
• Track record of proactively improving systems, processes, and marketing materials by looking for opportunities to improve and proposing solutions
• Ability to successfully manage many projects at once
• Self-starter who consistently meets deadlines
• Comfortable holding others accountable to ensure timelines are met while also maintaining positive working relationships
• Comfortable balancing the need for the final marketing piece to be strategic but also consider and incorporate feedback from stakeholders
• Top-notch organization skills
• Familiarity with widely-used social media platforms
• Demonstrated ability to think creatively and execute on creative projects.
• Strong track record of working with a variety of stakeholders.

 

Preferred skills and competencies:
• Working knowledge of Digital Asset Management tools
• Web platform
• Tracking budgets and proposing improvements
• Jira and/or Kanban boards
• Change Management
• Familiarity with using light graphic design software, such as Canva, to create materials
• Proficient in use of Sharepoint

 

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or a closely related field
• 3 years directly related experience.
• Experience writing compelling and strategic marketing communications, applying marketing strategy to various types marketing materials from sales collateral to promotional items to events required.
• Experience managing projects with multiple deadlines and stakeholders, preferably related to marketing materials and/or software products
